Tasha Trust

Our History

TASHA TRUST is a non-profit organization dedicated to community welfare and child development. It was formally established on August 8, 2016, under the Trust Act of 1882, driven by the vision and humanitarian spirit of its founder, Mr. Tariq Ikram. He is motivated and committed to uplifting vulnerable segments of society, especially orphans. Mr. Ikram laid the foundation for an institution that embodies care, dignity, and opportunity for underprivileged children.

The founding members of TASHA TRUST include Mr. Tariq Ikram and his immediate family members: Mrs. Aisha Tariq, Mr. Ali Tariq, Mr. Hassan Tariq, and Ms. Sana Aziz. Together, they envisioned a holistic model of child care that goes beyond basic needs, aiming to nurture, educate, and empower children for a better future.

The head office of TASHA TRUST is based in Karachi, Pakistan, while its core operational hub, known as Saiya Home, is located in Jhelum. Notably, Saiya Home began its operations in February 2014, two years before the formal registration of TASHA TRUST, reflecting the founders’ longstanding dedication to humanitarian service.

Saiya Home serves as the flagship initiative of the Trust and operates as a full-fledged orphanage. It provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for orphaned and vulnerable children. The home emphasizes not only shelter and sustenance but also education, emotional well-being, and character development.

TASHA TRUST, through Saiya Home, continues to serve as a beacon of hope, striving to create a future where every child, regardless of their background and has the opportunity to live a life of dignity, security, and promise.

Our Leadership Beliefs

At TASHA TRUST, we believe that every child deserves love, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our work is rooted in the belief that compassion and care can transform lives, and that no child should be left without hope or support.

We believe in creating a nurturing environment where children are not only provided with shelter and basic needs but are also given the tools to grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Education, discipline, and emotional well-being form the core of our developmental approach.

TASHA TRUST holds those strong moral values—such as integrity, tolerance, and mutual respect—must guide both our internal operations and the upbringing of the children under our care. We see these values as essential in shaping individuals who can contribute positively to society.

We also believe in the power of family and community. Though many of the children we care for may not have a biological family, we strive to give them the sense of belonging, safety, and unconditional love that every family provides. We believe in treating every child as our own, with warmth, attention, and understanding.

Above all, TASHA TRUST believes that a better future begins with compassion in action—and through Saiya Home and our collective efforts, we are dedicated to building that future, one child at a time.
